Some frequently
asked questions

What is coaching?

Coaching is a series of one-to-one conversations with a coach who uses a blend of questioning, listening, observations and feedback to unlock potential. The sessions are designed to help you understand and cope with any issues you may have so that you can focus on future opportunities.

What can coaching help with?

It’s helpful for anyone who suffers with anxiety, frustration, low self-esteem or lack of confidence. It can help you identify unhelpful patterns of behaviour that hold you back, and support you in making practical changes that allow development and progression.

How do I know you’re the right coach for me?

Communication, rapport and trust are vital in the coach/coachee relationship. That’s why I always have an introductory call with potential clients to make sure we’re the right fit. It’s a free call with no obligation but it’s an important first step for us both.

What kind of coaching do you offer?

A portion of the work we do together is continuing to discover and acknowledge who you really are, which can be one of the most powerful aspects of our work. Together we will:

  • Determine a goal – this helps us to maintain focus and motivation.
  • Develop self-awareness and awareness of others – by learning to recognise our own tendencies, we can be more considered in our responses – this in turn can lead to improved performance. It also helps us to manage our relationships and collaborate better.
  • Create a greater sense of purpose – so we can identify and overcome obstacles and fears, change unhelpful belief patterns and realise more of your potential.

How many coaching sessions will I need?

Everyone’s different, we work on a month by month basis and go at your pace. Length of programmes very much depends on the individual. You stop the sessions when you have achieved what it is you want, or before, if you want to. You are in control.

Is there any support between sessions?

You’re accountable and responsible for your own progress. As your coach, I offer you optional accountability and we can talk about this when we meet.

What’s your experience and what qualifications do you have?

I’m a trained coach, an NLP Practitioner and graduate of The Journey Method. I have knowledge in Transactional Analysis (TA), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and hypnosis. I take a multi-modality approach to the way we work. More importantly, I have over 200 hours coaching experience, and 20+ years of managing and leading teams for successful outcomes.

I work with clients in the UK and overseas who give me lots of positive feedback on their experience and success of working with me.
